Timely access to an assessment and follow-up by primary care providers
- When indicated, additional assessment and allied health services must also be expedited with networked evidence based providers (including pain / psychology services)
Timely access to specialist consultation (networked or part of model of care whenever possible) where appropriate, including:
- Rheumatologists for the management of inflammatory conditions,
- Surgeons for surgical intervention,
- Physiatrists for nerve conduction assessment or complex rehabilitation,
- Pain specialists for complex or interventional pain management
- Others as needed
Timely access to appropriate investigations when indicated
